Moab Wedding Venues We Serve
Designing for Moab's Most Beautiful Spaces
We have been lucky enough to design flowers for weddings across Moab—from intimate canyon ceremonies to elegant resort celebrations, from rustic ranch gatherings to modern desert venues. Each space has its own personality, its own light, its own relationship to the landscape. Over the years, we have learned how our locally grown flowers work in each of these environments, what thrives in full desert sun versus mountain shade, how to design installations that complement rather than compete with these incredible backdrops.
What I love most is how different each venue feels, and how our flowers can adapt to honor that uniqueness. We're not showing up with the same generic arrangements for every wedding—we're responding to the specific beauty of each place, the season you're celebrating in, and the vision you have for your day.
Venues We Love Working With
Here's a look at some of the Moab wedding venues where we've had the privilege of designing florals. If your venue isn't listed here, don't worry—we work throughout the Moab area and love discovering new spaces.
The Red Earth Venue
This venue is pretty incredible. Located about 10 minutes from downtown Moab off Scenic Byway 313, Red Earth sits on 17 private acres surrounded by open land for miles. The Glass Venue features floor-to-ceiling windows and accordion doors that open onto brick patios, creating this beautiful flow between indoor and outdoor space. There's also a remote desert platform site accessible by 4x4 or a short walk—perfect for couples wanting that completely immersive desert ceremony experience.
What we love about designing here: The architecture is so striking that flowers become these thoughtful accents rather than the main event. We design arrangements that complement the modern aesthetic while bringing in organic movement and texture. The multiple ceremony options mean we can create very different looks depending on where you're exchanging vows—dramatic installations for the remote platform, more intimate pieces for the glass pavilion.
Whispering Oaks Ranch
At 8,000 feet in the La Sal Mountains, about 20 miles southeast of Moab, Whispering Oaks offers something completely different—a mountain retreat with views of canyon country below. The property includes seven luxury cabins, an 1,800 square foot covered pavilion with two additional decks, and multiple ceremony sites including one on a detached deck with spectacular mountain peak views.
What we love about designing here: The elevation means cooler temperatures even in summer, which is amazing for flower longevity. We can work with varieties that might struggle in the desert heat. The mountain setting invites a different color palette—those deeper jewel tones, more lush and abundant arrangements. The natural forest backdrop means flowers become this beautiful cultivated contrast to the wild surroundings.
Season: Late May through mid-October
Sorrel River Ranch Resort & Spa
Located along the Colorado River about 17 miles northeast of Moab, Sorrel River Ranch offers a luxury resort experience with modern cabins right on the water. The property requires a full buyout, which means complete privacy and exclusive access for your wedding.
What we love about designing here: The riverside setting creates this incredible combination of water, cliffs, and sky. We design with that in mind—arrangements that feel lush but not out of place in the desert, colors that pop against red rock without fighting with sunset light. The property's upscale aesthetic means we can go for more refined, sophisticated arrangements while still keeping that wild, gathered quality we're known for.
Red Cliffs Lodge
Perched along the Colorado River and framed by red rock cliffs, Red Cliffs Lodge is about 14 miles northeast of downtown Moab. The property offers both indoor ballroom space and stunning outdoor areas right on the river. Hotel accommodations mean guests can stay onsite.
What we love about designing here: The waterfront ceremony space is unbeatable for evening light. We design knowing that golden hour is going to be spectacular, so we use colors that glow rather than compete. The combination of indoor and outdoor spaces means we're often creating different feels for ceremony versus reception—maybe more structured pieces for indoor ballroom tables, looser gathered arrangements for outdoor cocktail areas.
Spanish Valley Winery
Operating since 1979 and located in Spanish Valley just outside Moab, this vineyard venue offers a completely different vibe. The combination of cultivated grapevines and dramatic rocky landscape creates this interesting intersection of agriculture and wild desert.
What we love about designing here: Working with a venue that's also growing things—there's something that feels right about bringing our farm-grown flowers to another agricultural setting. The vineyard rows create natural ceremony backdrops, and we can design with that geometric quality in mind. The rustic-meets-refined aesthetic of wine country pairs beautifully with our seasonal, garden-style approach.
ULUM Moab
Set on 200 acres of secluded desert landscape, ULUM offers luxury glamping accommodations with suite tents. The property requires all event guests to lodge onsite and operates on a buyout model for events.
What we love about designing here: This venue is all about that luxury outdoor experience, which perfectly aligns with how we think about flowers—beautiful but not overly precious, elevated but still connected to the land. The tented accommodations and open desert setting mean we're designing for true outdoor conditions while maintaining a sophisticated aesthetic.
Additional Moab Venues
We've also designed for weddings at private residences, Airbnb properties with stunning views, campgrounds and various hotels throughout Moab. Basically, if you're getting married somewhere in the Moab area, we can probably make it work.
Farther Afield: Beyond Moab
Some couples choose venues outside the immediate Moab area but still want to work with us for their florals. We've traveled to serve weddings at incredible properties throughout southern Utah. These destinations typically involve additional travel fees, but if the venue and vision feel right, we're often up for the adventure.
Amangiri
Amangiri is one of the most exclusive luxury resorts in the Southwest. Set on 600 acres of pristine desert wilderness, this five-star Aman resort offers striking modernist architecture that seems to emerge from the landscape itself. The property features 34 suites, Camp Sarika for more intimate celebrations, and multiple venue options including the main restaurant (up to 110 guests), the Fireside Pavilion by the pool, and remote sites like the Chinle Site accessed by hike or horseback.
What we would love about designing here: Amangiri represents the absolute pinnacle of luxury desert weddings. The architecture is so refined and the setting so dramatic that florals need to match that level of sophistication while still feeling organic and connected to place. We're designing for couples who want the best of everything—impeccable execution, unique varieties, arrangements that photograph beautifully but also feel authentic to the desert environment. The full buyout model means creating florals for multi-day celebrations with welcome dinners, ceremony, and reception all requiring different but cohesive looks.
Properties in the Zion Area
We have a special connection with the Zion area.. it is where I first fell in love with the red rocks of Utah. Working with couples getting married near Zion National Park would be a dream—whether at boutique resorts, private estates, or outdoor ceremony sites with views of the iconic cliffs. The Zion area is about 5 hours from Moab but shares that same incredible southern Utah landscape.
What we would love about designing here: Zion's towering sandstone cliffs create a different drama than Moab's arches and mesas. The colors shift more toward white and pink in places, the vegetation is different, and we adjust our design approach accordingly. These weddings often involve extensive logistics—transporting flowers across long distances while maintaining freshness—but the results can be stunning.
Lake Powell Area Venues
Some properties around Lake Powell, including resorts and private estates near Page, Arizona, occasionally request our services. The lake setting introduces water as an element, which creates interesting design opportunities.
What we love about designing here: The combination of desert landscape with the blue of Lake Powell is visually striking. We think about how flowers interact with both the red rock and the water, how wind off the reservoir affects installations, and how to create designs that feel appropriate for a lakeside celebration while still honoring the surrounding desert.
Southern Utah Mountain Venues
Various venues in the mountains of southern Utah—from Cedar City to the areas around Bryce Canyon—sometimes reach out for our services. These higher elevation locations offer cooler temperatures and forested settings while still being within the broader southern Utah region.
How We Approach Distant Venues
Logistics & Freshness: Transporting flowers long distances requires careful planning. We harvest and prepare everything as close to delivery time as possible, transport in climate-controlled conditions, and time our arrival to ensure peak freshness. For venues several hours away, we build in extra time and backup plans.
Additional Fees: Distance means higher costs—fuel, vehicle wear, and crucially, time away from the farm during growing season. We're transparent about these costs upfront. For venues like Amangiri, we're typically talking about a full day of travel plus setup time, which factors into pricing.
Site Visits: For venues we haven't worked before, especially distant ones, we strongly recommend a site visit. Understanding the space, meeting coordinators, and seeing conditions firsthand makes a huge difference in design success.
Why We Do It: Here's the honest truth—sometimes a couple's vision and a venue's beauty are compelling enough that we say yes even when logistics are complicated. We love the challenge of bringing Moab-grown flowers to extraordinary places. But we're also realistic about what's feasible, and we'll tell you if a venue is too far or if logistics won't allow us to deliver the quality you deserve.
How We Work With Your Venue
Site Visits & Logistics
For venues we haven't worked with before, I love doing a site visit if possible. I want to see the light at your ceremony time, understand the setup logistics, meet the venue coordinator, and get a feel for the space. This helps me design florals that truly work for your specific situation.
For venues we know well, we already understand the ins and outs—where the best ceremony spots are for different times of day, how wind patterns affect outdoor setups, which varieties hold up best in each environment.
Coordination With Venue Staff
We work collaboratively with venue coordinators and staff. They know their spaces better than anyone, and we respect their guidelines and timing requirements. Good relationships with venue teams mean smoother setup, better problem-solving if issues arise, and ultimately a better experience for you.
Setup & Installation
We deliver and install all florals based on your timeline and the venue's requirements. For outdoor venues, we typically install closer to ceremony time to ensure everything looks fresh. For indoor or climate-controlled spaces, we have more flexibility. We'll coordinate with your wedding planner or coordinator to ensure our setup doesn't conflict with other vendors.
Venue-Specific Considerations
Desert & Outdoor Venues: We choose varieties that can handle sun, heat, and wind. We use mechanics that don't require power or running water. We design with afternoon light in mind, knowing how flowers look when that golden desert sun hits them.
Mountain Venues: Higher elevation means cooler temperatures, which is great for flower longevity but also means we're working in a different growing zone. We consider this in our variety selection and timing.
Indoor Historic Buildings: We respect the existing architecture and character. Our designs enhance rather than overwhelm. We're mindful of any restrictions on installation methods or where we can place arrangements.
Luxury Resorts: We match the level of refinement while maintaining our authentic, garden-style aesthetic. More polished mechanics, more attention to proportion and scale, but still using our farm-grown seasonal varieties.
What to Know About Venue & Florals
Permits & Restrictions
Some venues, particularly those on public lands or in sensitive areas, have specific restrictions about what can be used or left behind. We're very familiar with Leave No Trace principles and design accordingly. If your ceremony site requires permits, we'll work within those guidelines.
Access & Delivery
Some Moab venues require 4x4 access or involve hiking to ceremony sites. We've hauled flowers up desert trails, navigated dirt roads, and figured out logistics for remote locations. Just let us know what we're working with, and we'll plan accordingly.
Timing & Schedule
Desert heat means timing matters. For outdoor summer weddings, we'll often recommend ceremony times closer to evening when temperatures drop and light becomes more forgiving. We'll work with your timeline to ensure flowers look their absolute best when it matters most.
Multiple Locations
Many Moab weddings involve multiple locations—ceremony at one spot, reception at another, maybe a rehearsal dinner somewhere else. We can definitely work with multi-site celebrations. We just need to understand the full scope so we can plan delivery, setup, and breakdown logistics.
Why Venue Matters for Flower Design
Here's the thing about flowers and place: they're in conversation with each other. The same arrangement that looks perfect at a mountain venue might feel wrong at a modern desert pavilion. Colors that glow at sunset by the river might fall flat at a midday ceremony out in the desert.
This is why we don't offer a preset "wedding flower package." We design specifically for your venue, your timing, your season, and your vision. We're thinking about how light hits the space, what the background colors are, whether we're working with existing architecture or raw landscape, what the sight lines are for your guests.
I truly believe the best wedding florals feel like they belong exactly where they are—like they grew up knowing they'd be part of this specific celebration in this specific place. That's what we're always working toward.
Getting Started
If you're getting married at any of these venues (or somewhere we haven't mentioned), we'd love to talk with you about flowers. We'll discuss your venue choice, what drew you to that space, when you're getting married, and how flowers can enhance the beauty that's already there.
We work throughout the Moab area and are always excited to discover new venues and ceremony sites. This landscape offers endless possibilities, and we're grateful to bring our flowers to so many different corners of it.
Reach out through our contact form or give us a call. We'll set up a consultation to walk through your vision, discuss your venue specifics, and see if we're the right fit for your celebration.
Grateful to design for so many beautiful spaces in this incredible place we call home.
