Hi I’m Jess. Thanks for stopping by.
I grew my first garden in my parents backyard when I was 16. I dreaded weeding, now it is my nightly activity of choice. I have been growing food in some capacity ever since.
In college, I studied global environmental studies. The more I learned about our issues as a planet, the more I saw the need for stronger communities where food and cut flowers are produced locally and with the greater environment in mind.
Moab, Utah is home. This little oasis in the desert has a strong history of agriculture and fruit production. Our small town is teeming with backyard gardeners whom I am grateful to learn from, work with and hopefully share some inspiration.
I am happiest when there is dirt under my fingernails and I’m clipping flowers in the first morning light.
